The Palestinian group Hamas has announced its readiness to withdraw its fighters from the Gaza Strip in exchange for the withdrawal of Israeli troops from agreed upon points. This was reported by the Al Arabiya TV channel, citing sources, TASS reports.
According to their information, the movement’s delegation in Cairo conveyed its demands to Egyptian mediators regarding a possible ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
“Hamas expressed its readiness to withdraw its fighters in exchange for Israel’s withdrawal to agreed upon points, emphasizing its commitment to saving the lives of hostages,” the sources told the TV channel.
According to their information, the movement “demanded a written agreement with Israel,” which would include international guarantees of “an end to Israel’s plans to occupy Gaza” and non-resumption of hostilities.
