On October 29, the leader of the “I Have Honor” faction, Hayk Mamijanyan, met with Nacho Sanchez Amor, the leading member for Armenia in the Democracy Support and Election Coordination Group, a member of the European Parliament, and the permanent rapporteur on Turkey.
The leader of the faction welcomed the guest, who arrived in our country to participate in the autumn session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.
Hayk Mamijanyan presented the domestic political situation in Armenia, touched upon the problems existing in the judicial system, issues related to the protection of human rights and freedom of speech.
The leader of the faction also spoke about the issue of persons held in Azerbaijan, highlighting the support of international partners. Taking into account the closure of the International Committee of the Red Cross office in Azerbaijan, the faction leader noted that he had written to the EU Ambassador to Armenia Vasilis Maragos, requesting that the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan visit our compatriots detained in Baku.
The parties also discussed regional issues.
