Member of the Supreme Body of the Republican People’s Party Artak Zakarian mentioned the post of the Communist Party MP Babken Tunyan.
“I don’t know who he means, but it is obvious that the political arrogance and careless cynicism of the CP members are incurable.
It seemed to me that Babken Tunyan was one of the smartest and most decent among them. I hope I am not mistaken. However, he mocks his “colleagues” in the opposition, as if it was not his government that surrendered Artsakh, brought three wars to Armenia and ceded territories.
The region and Armenia can indeed find themselves on the war scene at any moment. It is a great blessing that at this stage a ceasefire (not peace) was reached between Iran and Israel. One of the reasons for the ceasefire was that all countries in the region were, as Babken says, in a state 5 degrees short of war.
If US President Trump had written something like that, I would have understood. I don’t understand the point of Babken’s post and the emphasized cynicism. It’s good that he doesn’t say that it was possible thanks to Nikol’s efforts. “The regional catastrophe had to be stopped,” Zakarian wrote.
