Henrikh Danielyan: “Armenia remains on the sidelines of the process of forming a new world order, turning into a testing ground for external forces”

The geopolitical reshuffles taking place in the world are entering a decisive phase. Russia, using its military and political success, is becoming the initiator of the peace process, resuming negotiations with Ukraine. Turkey is consistently implementing its pan-Turkic strategy, deepening its positions in the region and strengthening cooperation with the United States, Russia and other superpowers, increasing the level of bilateral trust. Iran and the United States have resumed negotiations in an attempt to reduce the intensity of mutual pressure. China, for its part, is expanding its global presence, creating new economic and diplomatic opportunities in Africa and other geographic regions. European leaders are reconsidering relations with Russia, guided by national and regional calculations. Azerbaijan is intensifying cooperation with Turkey and Israel, turning its territory into a military-political platform for the latter against Armenia, Russia and Iran.
The conflict between India and Pakistan is escalating, and the prospect of a military conflict is looming. The above-mentioned and all the centers of power in general are focused on protecting and promoting their own national interests, understanding that the fate of a new multipolar world order is currently being decided.
Against this background, the current rulers of Armenia continue to act in accordance with the logic that contradicts national interests, day after day deepening the security, political and social crises of the Republic of Armenia. In the international arena, instead of strengthening Armenia’s position, they are turning the country into a testing ground for foreign forces.
Such a model of governance contradicts not only state interests, but also national security, leaving Armenia on the sidelines of the processes of forming a new international architecture.
