The man who bought $30 million worth of scrap metal (Osa-AK) from Jordan under the guise of an air defense system and used a Su-30 fighter jet for selfies and self-promotion still debates the quality of foreign weapons, stated Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the “I Have the Honor” faction, referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“Incidentally, aircraft of this model were, in their own way, good weapons, but, as it later turned out, they were purchased without the appropriate ammunition, and there is no concrete information about their participation or effective use in the war.
“The air defense systems mentioned by Serzh Sargsyan were hit in the first hours of the war not because they were old or faulty, but because some of them were permanently stationed, while those on combat alert were not transferred to reserve firing positions designated for such situations.
As for the fact that weapons and military equipment, particularly air defense systems, were forced to enter the Republic of Armenia from outside and were not transferred to Artsakh, how did the S-300 air defense division end up in Artsakh before the war and then come under attack?” Abrahamyan noted, promising to look into the circumstances of its deployment and the strikes another time.
