Businessman, philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan’s new message from the NSS isolation ward:
“Work for all. Prosperity for all.
A typical Armenian scene that describes the inaction of those in power.
The course of a working day: a small Armenian town or village, able-bodied and energetic Armenian men standing together are forced to occupy themselves with playing backgammon. Filled with despair, remembering their former successes. People have actually been deprived of the ability to even dream of a good life.
The only one responsible for today’s reality is this government, which does not create decent opportunities for our people, discourages them, and breaks their faith in a prosperous future.
I can confidently assert that despite these difficult conditions, we can very quickly provide the necessary and concrete solutions aimed at the well-being of our people.
Armenia annually imports about $4 billion more goods than it exports. This means that there is great potential in our country for building production facilities, creating profitable investment programs, especially providing residents of the regions with decent work.
In a very short time, we can attract large international investors with their production capacities, stimulate local business with targeted state support programs, rather than “taking a stake” or trying to “take it away”.
Reforms in the agricultural sector must be real, on the ground. There must be so much competition among the companies that harvest the farmer’s harvest that by selling the product, the farmer must finally be able to make a profit, ensuring the well-being of his family.
And our agricultural products can be a good raw material for the development of the food industry.
In a few years, large companies with international recognition should be represented in Armenia and operate in our country, which will ensure a qualitatively new growth in the pace of tourism development and new conditions.
I am confident that this and a number of other economic programs will change the quality of life of our people in a very short time, emigration will eventually stop and there will be decent work for everyone.
We will do it our way.”
