I do not regret that I have fought and am fighting for a strong, powerful and safe Armenia. Letter from Archbishop Bagrat from prison

The leader of the Holy Struggle, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, sent a letter from the Yerevan-Kentron correctional labor institution, located in the NSS building.

“A terrorist is looking for a “terrorist”…

It has been said three times correctly that “the thief shouts: stop the thief.”

The terrorist who stole our Motherland, life, biography, honor, is looking for a “terrorist.”

The evil machine continues to spread terrorism and threats with all its “inspiration” through its satellites and slaves, whose “god” is the power of their money and lies, thereby wanting to prolong the empire of lies they have built for a few more moments.

In a state of information deficit, in a field of unequal opportunities, in the freedom of prison, my only source of communication with the outside “prison” and limited information are my gifted and dedicated human rights lawyers who are fighting for the truth with all their might. In these last two days, the terrorists of our lives and biography, once again, with cynicism and lies, not giving each other a break, in their own way violating all orders and boundaries, feast on the blood of the innocent.

I will not talk about the scale of the lies they are engaged in, starting from the obvious edited recordings and their combinations, to the AN tribune. I will talk about what we want, which, as I have already said, I do not regret a drop of a minute.

I will only give a very brief assessment that if I and the supporters of our struggle are terrorists and criminals, then the fact is that terrorists and criminals seized power in 2018. Whatever you do and say, you are guilty of blood before our heritage and history, before the curse of our fathers, before thousands of martyrs and for the lost Homeland of Artsakh, which is forever imprinted on your foreheads.

I do not regret that I fought and am fighting for a strong, powerful and safe Armenia, the borders of which do not change at the will of a “terrorist”.

I do not regret that I fought and am fighting for the lost Artsakh, for hundreds of thousands of my displaced sisters and brothers, for the graves and holy places left without owners, for the brothers who are being tortured in a hostile prison.

I do not regret that I fought and am fighting for the Holy Church, living freely and without persecution in its own and native state, as a sacrifice to which the Armenian statehood was also created.

I do not regret that I have fought and am fighting for a healthy and dignified young generation, free from fear, flattery, laziness, the plague of drug addiction and gambling that are rampant in the ranks of today’s “authorities”.

I do not regret that I have fought and will fight for love, reconciliation, justice and truth, which are the only and exclusive guarantee of the strength and existence of our national and state life.

I do not regret that I have fought and will fight for the recognition of the spilled blood of our heroic martyrs – fathers, brothers, sons, mothers, sisters and daughters, to whom I have undertaken the obligation to return their homeland, their own victory.

I humbly pity our supporters and their families who are currently in prison and who, embracing the homeland, are persecuted, for which I humbly ask forgiveness for the pain and suffering caused.

According to the apostolic word, my and our chains are our glory, with which you, your terrorists, have enriched and valued our biography, a huge part of which you have robbed.

I have said and I repeat again: whether I am alone or not, in prison or in the grave, I will fight until my Homeland and my State are freed from evil, because Victory has no alternative…”
