Today, in the courtyard, journalists asked Serzh Sargsyan, the third president of the Republic of Armenia, to comment on the statement by Sasun Mikaelyan, chairman of the Armenian Youth Union, that “Vazgen Sargsyan was beaten the same way they tried to beat Nikol Pashinyan.”
The third president was initially surprised, and then said:
“I don’t know what part of the body the person who says such a thing is thinking with, regardless of their personality. But comparing two such people based on my views and way of thinking is simply impossible.
Yes, Vazgen has been physically gone for many years, but Vazgen’s dream, his ideas live on in many people today. I am confident that these ideas, his views, will live on for a long time to come, and that there will be people who will carry them with warmth.”
