Every contact with the judicial, legal system deepens my disappointment. I had no connection with the judicial system before, but since June 27, in my opinion, it has been going downhill, and there is no end in sight. Archbishop Michael said this during the court hearing.
“I am not afraid of your judicial team. Whether it is now, in 10 years, after my death, I will be acquitted, but you will remain guilty, and your descendants will remain guilty, and you will be ashamed in front of your descendants.
Our arrest is a stigma and a disgrace for these authorities. But I do not understand what motivates you to become an accomplice to this stigma,” the archbishop said, addressing the judge.
“I feel sorry for you, as I do for any Armenian who has committed a crime while serving as a clergyman,” the bishop added in conclusion.
