I have never seen a country in the world that causes so much trouble for its people. Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan said this in a conversation with reporters before his son’s court hearing.
“What is the reason that so many cases are being filed against these people? 99 percent of former mayors are being tried. The healthy force in the country is being stoned, and whoever the people follow is definitely targeted,” said Ghukasyan.
Referring to his son’s case, Ghukasyan said that when his son went to the trial of the Bishop, he himself said that he would definitely be arrested.
“There is no hope from the court, but I definitely believe in God’s judgment. I know one thing: every judge, every representative of the judicial and legal sphere, if they are given an assignment, they must say: this is not something to do, how should we do it? “All that will change, then you demolish people’s houses for your salary, don’t you fear God? Keep the law, be guided by the truth,” he noted.
When asked if he was not afraid that such steps would force him to resign, Ghukasyan said: “So I’m not that type, I know that much, I’m not one of those who are afraid, whatever they want to do, it’s a man’s business, God first, I’m ready for anything for my homeland.”
