I participated in the meeting with Nikol Pashinyan as a member of the Episcopal Committee of the Mother See, and it has nothing to do with the Artsakh issue. Primate of the Artsakh Diocese

Dear faithful brothers and sisters!

On November 28, 2018, I, along with a group of bishops, participated in a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan. I am aware that this meeting did not receive a unanimous assessment from our compatriots, and especially the Armenians of Artsakh. This was written by Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese.

“Considering this circumstance, I consider it my duty to state the following:

1. I participated in the meeting as a member of the Episcopal Committee of the Mother See, and it has nothing to do with the Artsakh issue and the issues of concern to our compatriots.

“2. I have been, remain, and always will be by my flock’s side in the struggle for their violated rights.

3. I am true to my pastoral vow to the Armenians of Artsakh and believe that by the grace of the Almighty, the united and unwavering will of our compatriots, and the unanimity of the sages of the Artsakh state and society, we will realize our cherished dreams.

I am convinced that together we will continue our struggle to protect our violated rights and realize our cherished dream of returning to our homeland,” he wrote.
