If it wasn’t clear, I’ll say: yes, I condemn it. A human rights activist on the incident involving Pashinyan

Human rights activist Anahit Manasyan commented on the incident involving Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, responding to criticism and questions.

When asked whether she clearly condemned the incident, Manasyan noted that she had already made a public statement.

“I made a public statement regarding the incident very quickly. I think the content of the statement was clear to everyone.”

When asked whether she, as the head of an independent body, could have used clearer wording, the human rights activist responded:

“If it wasn’t clear, to avoid all possible manipulative and unclear comments, I’ll say: yes, I condemn the incident and any circumstances related to it, regardless of whether it concerns the prime minister or anyone else.”

She also emphasized that she attaches great importance to subsequent developments, particularly the fact that the prime minister subsequently apologized.
