India condemns attacks on critical infrastructure in the region, which threaten regional stability and disrupt global supply chains. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated this in a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Modi emphasized the importance of freedom of navigation and maintaining open and secure sea lanes.
The Indian Prime Minister expressed hope that the Nowruz celebrations will bring peace to West Asia.
“I conveyed greetings to Masoud Pezeshkian on Eid and Nowruz. We expressed hope that this festive season will bring peace, stability, and prosperity to West Asia,” he said.
Modi also thanked the Iranian President for the safety of Indian citizens in Iran.
