Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that he will soon meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, and the parties will discuss ways to resolve the Syrian crisis.
“I will soon have a meeting with the Russian president regarding the situation in Syria,” the press service of the government of the Islamic Republic quotes Pezeshkian as saying. The Iranian president added that Moscow and Tehran will do everything in their power to stabilize the situation in Syria.
On December 2, Pezeshkian said during a telephone conversation with Putin that the activation of terrorists in the Arab Republic is part of a dangerous plan by Israel and the United States to destabilize the Middle East. The head of the Iranian executive power highly praised Russia’s role in maintaining peace in the region and the territorial integrity of Syria.
