Father Movses Sahakyan was recently released from prison.
In a conversation with reporters, he noted that he was summoned to prison as an accused.
“I cannot disclose details, as this is a preliminary investigation secret. If our lawyers deem it necessary to publish anything, they will,” he said.
Father Movses also added that he does not make decisions and has nothing to do with them.
“The number of clergy who have opened this door and entered recently is simply absurd. Is there no criminals in our country? Should clergy enter through this door? Are there no crimes in this country other than being a priest?” he remarked.
As a reminder, since this morning, police have been serving subpoenas to bishops who are members of the Supreme Ecclesiastical Council (some have already received them) demanding that they appear before the Investigative Committee today as defendants.
The bishops are accused of obstructing the execution of a judicial order.
