The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip stipulates that Israeli troops will begin withdrawing from cities and densely populated areas to positions defined in the agreement on Friday, Osami Hamdan, head of the Lebanese Hamas movement, told the Qatari television channel Al Arabi, according to RIA Novosti.
“In accordance with the agreements, Israeli troops will begin withdrawing from their positions in the Gaza Strip tomorrow, along the so-called ‘yellow lines’ defined by US President Donald Trump. These lines were revised during the agreement discussions, as they provided for the deployment of Israeli troops in cities and densely populated areas of the Gaza Strip,” Hamdan said.
“Now, an agreement has been reached that they will withdraw and will not remain in cities, particularly in Gaza, Rafah, Khan Yunis, and will also leave residential areas,” he added.
