Jerusalem belongs and will always belong to Israel. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a visit to the city, The Times of Israel reports, lenta.ru reports.
The publication notes that the Israeli Prime Minister’s words were addressed to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who in 2020 hinted that Jerusalem belongs to Turkey because of its past as part of the Ottoman Empire.
“This is our city, Mr. Erdogan. This is not your city, this is our city.
This will always be our city. It will never be divided again,” Netanyahu said.
Earlier, Erdogan compared Netanyahu to Hitler because of his actions in Gaza. “The UN Charter proclaims the territorial integrity of states, sovereign equality and the inadmissibility of forcible changes to their borders,” the Turkish president noted.
