Keith Kellogg said that Ukraine agreed to “22 specific conditions” from the US to end the war with Russia

At the talks in London on April 23, Washington and Kyiv reached an agreement on 22 specific conditions for a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg said on Fox News.

“In the course of frank and difficult discussions with the Ukrainians, we offered 22 very specific conditions, and we believe that we are in a very, very advantageous position,” Kellogg said. He noted that not all of the US conditions were liked by the Ukrainian side, but “that’s normal when you’re negotiating anything.”

Among other things, Ukraine agreed to territorial concessions in accordance with the current situation on the front, but “not de jure, but de facto.”

“The Ukrainians are ready to give up the territories that are occupied by the Russians, not de jure, forever, but de facto, because the Russians have effectively occupied this land. They agreed to this. And they told me this last week,” the special envoy said. “They understand that when a ceasefire is established, each side will remain in the positions it occupies. This is what they are ready for.”

In turn, Kyiv, according to Kellogg, “wants a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire that will lead to a peace agreement.” The special envoy added that the US president is also seeking this.

“We have one side. Now we need a second side. And I think we are close to that,” Trump’s special envoy added. According to him, “now everything depends on the Russians, on Putin.”
