A case of drug trafficking in especially large quantities for the purpose of sale has been uncovered within the framework of a criminal case investigated by the Abovyan Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Kotayk region of the Republic of Armenia. A 50-year-old resident of the Kotayk region has been arrested.
As reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee, based on the received signal, a search was conducted in the man’s house, during which drugs packed in plastic and glass containers, syringes with drugs, as well as 85 bags tied with blue and white tape were found. Packaging devices, plastic bags, tape, plastic and glass containers, a large amount of money, etc. were also found and seized.
According to the results of the examination, some of the drugs found were “methamphetamine”. The examination of the other drugs is ongoing.
The man has been charged and arrested.
