Peace negotiations are better than war, but to successfully end the conflict in Ukraine, it is necessary to eliminate its root causes. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“Negotiations are better than war, but to achieve success, and we are deeply convinced of this, it is necessary to eliminate the root causes of the conflict, as the Russian President has repeatedly emphasized,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said at an international meeting of high representatives in charge of security issues.
Lavrov also emphasized that for many years before the special military operation and after its start, Russia “offered and continues to offer the Ukrainian side to resolve all problems, and they are becoming more serious every year, through dialogue and diplomacy.”
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also expressed gratitude to the governments of the countries that provided their services to resume negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian sides without preconditions.
