Lavrov said why the US wants to remove the topic of Ukraine from the agenda

The administration of US President Donald Trump wants to remove the issue of Ukraine from the agenda, which was artificially created by the previous US administration in order to eliminate obstacles to normal economic and other relations with Russia. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports.

“My feeling is that the Trump administration, precisely because it is an artificially created war by (former US President Joe) Biden and his team and does not reflect the philosophy of the current administration, wants to remove it from the agenda in order to eliminate obstacles to normal economic, technological and other relations and cooperation, which will also not be easy, because the US has a very specific approach to how to resolve economic issues now,” Lavrov said.
