Lay members of the Supreme Spiritual Council have been summoned to the Investigative Committee. This information was confirmed by one of the council members, former Justice Minister Gevorg Danielyan.
According to Danielyan, the purpose of the summons to the Investigative Committee in the case of obstructing the execution of a judicial decision is to disrupt the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council.
The meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council, which began recently, was adjourned due to the absence of those invited to the Investigative Committee.
The Investigative Committee declined to comment.
According to Echmiadzin, the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council, which began two days ago at the Throne of the Mother of the Nation under the leadership of the Catholicos of All Armenians, is discussing “issues related to church life.”
