Lukashenko orders deployment of Oreshnik missile system in Belarus

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has ordered to ensure the deployment of the latest Russian missile system “Oreshnik” in the republic and to properly plan its use. This was reported by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus, First Deputy Minister of Defense Pavel Muraveyko, BelTA reports.

When asked how many such systems are planned to be delivered to Belarus, the head of Muraveyko replied that “only the President of the Russian Federation knows about this.

On December 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country’s leadership considers it possible to deploy “Oreshnik” on the territory of Belarus. As the head of state said, Moscow can send these missiles to the neighboring republic as early as the second half of 2025.
