French President Emmanuel Macron told the Italian newspaper Foglio that during his visit to Washington he proposed to US President Donald Trump to reconsider his position on an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine in favor of a truce for air and sea operations.
“That is, not to seek an immediate ceasefire, but rather a truce at the level of air, sea and energy infrastructure,” Macron said, arguing that such a regime is supposedly easier to control.
