Does the Armenian Apostolic Church have any leverage, opportunities or ways to find out whether Nikol and his followers are actually Armenian Christians and followers of the Church of St. Gregory the Illuminator, or whether they belong to this or that sect?
Yes, there is freedom of conscience in our country, but there must also be freedom of security.
For an Armenian Christian, his Apostolic Church is his security, spiritual purity and the protection of his descendants. I myself am not against any other religion or belief, and Islam and Sinicism are acceptable to the extent that they are acceptable to their peoples who practice them. For the love of God, rest assured.
However, I have a special reservation regarding the thousand and one sects. And, I was one of the first to sound the alarm in 2018 /I had news, information/ that most of those gathered in the square were representatives of various sects.
Therefore, I repeat my question, where does our Armenian Apostolic Church have a lever, an opportunity to find out whether those who have seized power today are Christians by their faith and followers of the Apostolic Church? Were they sealed in our church, do they have a cross with St. Myron on their forehead, were they anointed in our church, did they baptize their children in our church? Is the cross of Christ a shrine for them, and not a fear?
I constantly think about the opposite.
I cannot explain their wild bandit attacks on the church, the Catholicos of All Armenians, in any other way. In fact, this is an attack on all Christian citizens of Armenia, on the Christian Armenian people, because our church is, first of all, the house of our God and, yes, our faith is also an important link in the security of the country and the people, as is our army and statehood.
