Iran continues to implement its peaceful nuclear program, the legitimacy of which is enshrined in UN Security Council Resolution 2231, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said, Tasnim reports.
He stressed that Israel’s aggression against Iranian nuclear facilities has damaged the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
According to him, Iran expects European countries to focus on ending Israeli aggression and condemn attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Baghaei noted that Iran’s nuclear activities are under IAEA supervision and are subject to the strictest checks, which means there is no reason to suspect the non-peaceful nature of the program.
“Iran’s nuclear program is alive,” he said, emphasizing that Iran’s nuclear rights, enshrined in UN Security Council Resolution 2231, cannot be taken away by any organization.
