Armenia’s public debt will grow to 53.5% of GDP in 2025. This was stated by Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan at a joint session of the standing parliamentary committees of the National Assembly of Armenia on October 28 during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2025.
According to the minister, in the medium term it will balance at 56.4% of GDP. “The nominal size of the debt was 5 trillion 914 billion drams,” Hovhannisyan said. The cost of servicing the public debt will increase from 11.2% to 11.3%.
