The second round of the presidential elections in Moldova will be held on November 3, as none of the candidates received more than 50% of the votes.
On October 20, Moldova held a presidential election and a referendum on joining the European Union. According to the results of counting 98.11% of the ballots in the presidential elections, 41.78% of voters voted for Maia Sandu. In second place was the politician from the pro-Russian Socialist Party, Alexandru Stoianoglo, with 26.41% of the votes.
And according to the counting of 98.29% of the votes in the referendum on EU membership, 50% of voters voted against the country’s accession to the European Union until 2030, and 50% supported the initiative.
