Moscow is concerned about Yerevan’s ambitions to join the EU. Armenia risks losing the advantages of the EAEU if the West draws it into its geopolitical games, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko told reporters, TASS reports.

“Naturally, Armenia’s desire to join the EU is worrying, since such aspirations are incompatible with this country’s membership in the EAEU, and we talk about this in our numerous contacts with Armenian partners,” the Russian diplomat noted.

“It is known that thanks to its participation in the EAEU, Armenia is developing dynamically, economic growth is observed in all key sectors for Yerevan.” “And this is a huge wealth that Armenia can lose if the West draws it into its geopolitical game, trying to tear Armenia away from Russia and other natural allies,” he added.
