Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Russians are doing everything to disrupt the trilateral meeting of the leaders of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
“At the same time, Ukraine, unlike Russia, is not afraid of any meetings with the leaders. We are ready to work effectively, to work at maximum… We must force them to take the path of diplomacy, we need really tough sanctions. If they do not agree to a diplomatic solution to this war, if they do not want to stop the war, we are very much counting on strong packages of measures from our partners,” he noted.
Zelensky hopes that “partners will help ensure at least a minimally effective position for the Russian side.” According to him, “we must do everything so that Russia cannot continue to avoid the meeting.”
