Moscow is ready to show flexibility in the Ukrainian settlement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with NBC that Moscow is ready to show flexibility in the Ukrainian settlement. According to him, US President Donald Trump put forward several proposals after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, and the Russian side is ready to compromise on some of them.

“On some of them, we agreed… to show flexibility,” Sergey Lavrov said.

He added that despite the efforts of the American side to organize negotiations between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the summit has not yet been planned.

“Putin will be ready to meet with Zelensky when the summit agenda is ready. It is not ready yet,” he explained.

A day ago, The Washington Post, citing its source, reported that Moscow allegedly does not want to hold a meeting of the presidents of Russia and Ukraine at all, since this would provide “a certain legitimization of the Ukrainian political regime on the part of Moscow.”
