response to media reports about alleged changes to the state housing support program for families internally displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, we inform you that nothing has changed in the housing program. Under this program, compatriots continue to receive support of 3 to 5 million drams for the purchase of an apartment or the construction of a house. This was reported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
Furthermore, a completely new program for addressing housing issues for families of 1-3 people has been submitted for public discussion. This program will provide support in the form of long-term partial rent compensation for 120 months at a rate of 40,000 drams per month for each family member.
The new program is currently undergoing public discussion on the unified website for publishing draft legal acts, e-draft.am (link: https://www.e-draft.am/projects/9349). Citizens’ suggestions and comments will be collected within the established deadlines and, if necessary, incorporated into the final version of the program.
