“38 years ago, on February 20, 1988, an extraordinary session of the Nagorno-Karabakh Regional Council adopted a resolution expressing the will of the people of Artsakh for free self-determination.
At the extraordinary session of the Council of People’s Deputies of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region, based on the principled position of the Armenians of Artsakh, a decision was made to mediate between the Supreme Soviets of the Azerbaijan SSR and the Armenian SSR on the transfer of the region from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
The determination and steadfastness shown by the Armenian people during those times of revival gave us the opportunity to reverse the course of political processes, restore historical justice, and protect the violated and ignored rights of our people.
Events have shown that where nations are guided not by ideological, but by ideological priorities, success and victory are guaranteed.
At various stages, Armenians have made wise and rational decisions, and the question of our common destiny once again depends on…” Our principled positions.
