Only the “We Are Our Mountains” monument remains intact: Korean blogger shows the empty streets of Artsakh and the erasure of memories (video)

Korean blogger Youngmin Skyes filmed a documentary about his trip to Artsakh, showing the changes taking place in the region. In Shushi, Askeran, and Stepanakert, he documented the destruction and attempts to erase Armenian traces. He described Stepanakert as an empty and sad city full of abandoned houses.

The blogger noted the strong presence of Azerbaijani symbols, as well as the fact that many Armenian monuments have been destroyed or rebuilt; only the “We Are Our Mountains” monument remains intact. He also noted that movement in the area is strictly controlled, and a number of places are closed to visitors.

According to him, important structures have also changed: the former parliament and university buildings have been rebuilt for new purposes. The blogger also complained about the service at the hotel, noting that it did not correspond to the amount paid.
