During an inspection conducted by inspectors from the Yerevan Food Safety Inspection Center at the Karas catering establishment (Yerevan, Tumanyan Street 19), owned by AMTZ LLC, violations of sanitary and hygienic standards were identified.
Specifically:
The ceiling had damaged areas, allowing dirt accumulation, steam condensation, and mold growth; some sections of the kitchen floor were damaged;
The ventilation system was in poor condition, failing to prevent contaminated air from entering the premises; one of the outward-opening windows and the rear door lacked a mosquito net, allowing pollutants to enter; the rear and kitchen doors were uneven and not covered with non-absorbent, easy-to-clean, and disinfectant materials; and the refrigerators, which come into direct contact with food, were poorly maintained.
By decision of the head of the food safety supervision agency, the production activities of the Karas catering establishment were suspended, and a deadline was set for correcting the identified violations.
