In Sukhum, protesters rammed a truck into the gates of the presidential administration building, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
Clashes between security forces and opposition supporters are taking place near the neighboring parliament building. There, protesters also broke down part of the fence with a truck and are throwing flares, bottles, eggs, and boards at the cordon. Sounds similar to gunshots were heard near the building.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the chairman of the State Security Service came out to the protesters.
In the morning, people began to gather near the parliament at the call of the opposition. The highest legislative body was supposed to consider the issue of ratifying the intergovernmental agreement with Russia on investments. But by decision of the deputies, the meeting was canceled.
