Hundreds of people took to the streets of Kyiv and several other cities of Ukraine, protesting against the bill No. 12414 on depriving the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office of independence, meduza.io reports.
According to Ukrainian media, from several hundred to a thousand protesters gathered in the square in Kyiv. Residents of Odessa, Lviv and Dnipro also took to the streets.
The protesters demanded a veto on the bill. They chanted “Hands off the National Anti-Corruption Bureau”, “Shame!”, “Protect democratic institutions” and other slogans, including criticism of the presidential administration.
