Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Minsk. On December 6, he and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko will hold the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
The agenda also includes security issues. As announced in the Kremlin, the subject of special attention will be “strengthening the common defense space.” An agreement between Russia and Belarus on security guarantees and a concept for the security of the Union State have been prepared for signing.
In addition, it is planned to make specific decisions on introducing comfortable tariffs for communication services, forming a unified electricity market, and combating illegal imports of goods. The meeting is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the treaty on the creation of the Union State. According to plans, Putin and Lukashenko will also hold a separate meeting.
