The meeting between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump could take place in the next two weeks. Both sides understand that it should not be postponed. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov to journalists.
“It could really take place in two weeks or a little later. There is a common understanding that nothing should be postponed,” Peskov said.
He noted that yesterday’s phone conversation between Putin and Trump was proposed by Russia after the US leader’s successful visit to the Middle East.
“Hungary, as a member of NATO and the EU, occupies a unique position in protecting its interests, which deserves the respect of Putin and Trump,” Peskov emphasized.
