Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a combined press conference and direct line “Itogi Goda” (Results of the Year) reported that he had received information from the special services about the detention of Ukrainian saboteurs in Slovakia with maps of the location of energy facilities in that country, Kommersant reports.
“Very recently, the special services reported to me that saboteurs had been detained in Slovakia, and it is clear that they were Ukrainian saboteurs, with maps of the location of gas energy facilities in Slovakia,” Putin said.
According to the Russian president, he will ask that the Russian special services “through partner channels… inquire with their colleagues” about this situation. “I repeat once again, they feed from the hand, peck from the hand, and have already moved on to attempts to carry out terrorist attacks on European territory. But this is their choice,” Putin added.
