Qatar has received assurances from the US that Israeli attacks on its territory will not be repeated.

Following the recent attack on a Hamas compound in Doha, Qatar has received assurances from the US that Israeli attacks on its territory will not be repeated, said Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid bin Mohammed al-Ansari.

“Qatar is satisfied with the security guarantees received from the US following the attack on Doha. We hope that Israeli attacks will not be repeated,” the diplomat said at a press conference on Tuesday.

The ministry spokesman emphasized that Qatar reserves the right to take “legitimate action” in response to the Israeli strike. “Our primary goal is to prevent the recurrence of hostile acts against our country,” he added.

On September 9, Israel struck senior Hamas leaders in Doha. The Palestinian movement reported the deaths of six people, including the son of Khalil al-Hay, the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and a Qatari security officer. Reports of deaths of senior Hamas members have not been confirmed.
