Residents of Parakar have organized a petition drive demanding that the Akhtoyans be banned from living in their community.

“We will appeal to the government to ban Mher Akhtoyan and his family from living in all settlements in the Parakar community to reduce tensions,” said Volodya Grigoryan, a friend of the slain Parakar community leader.
He announced that the petition drive is open, and anyone can sign it.
