On January 23 of this year, by a patriarchal decree of His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of all Armenians, and according to his statement, Rev. Shahe Ananyan, a member of the Throne of Holy Etchmiadzin, was declared removed from office.
The displaced clergyman will henceforth be listed among the laity under the name Artyom Ananyan.
