World-renowned attorney Robert Amsterdam is currently meeting with American authorities and representatives of the Armenian Diaspora in Washington, D.C., to inform them of the “slanderous” actions being taken against Samvel Karapetyan and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
He published a video message on his Facebook page and wrote: “In every capital we visit, we will continue to expose the slanderous actions being taken against Samvel Karapetyan and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The Armenian government has imprisoned Mr. Karapetyan, one of Armenia’s most respected businessmen, on absurd and politically motivated charges.
The authorities are discrediting the Armenian Apostolic Church by attacking the fundamental principles of the faith and national identity of the Armenian people,” he wrote.
