The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and its head, Rafael Grossi, made a significant contribution to ensuring the ceasefire during repairs to the power lines supplying the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. This was stated by Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev after a meeting with Rafael Grossi in Kaliningrad, TASS reports.
Earlier, Likhachev reported that the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was not improving, and that Ukrainian armed forces were targeting residential infrastructure and other facilities in Energodar.
Furthermore, on November 12, he noted that after the restoration of two high-voltage external power lines at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant – the Dniprovska and Ferrosplavnaya-1 lines – the power supply to the plant had stabilized. A local ceasefire has been established in the area around the plant, brokered by the IAEA, to allow for repairs.
As a reminder, a meeting began today in Kaliningrad between Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev and International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi.
