The joint strategic military exercises Zapad 2025 of Russia and Belarus have launched today. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, RIA Novosti reports.
“On September 12, 2020, the joint strategic military exercises Zapad 2025 of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation launched,” the statement said.
The exercises will be held at military training grounds in Russia, Belarus, as well as in the Baltic and Barents Seas.
The military formations of the CSTO, SCO and other partner states have been invited to participate. It is noted that the exercises will focus on repelling aggression against the Union State and restoring its territorial integrity.
