Moscow is ready to discuss preparations with Washington for the summit between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Budapest. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, according to RIA Novosti.
“We are also ready to discuss with our American colleagues the issue of resuming preparations for the summit they have proposed between Russian and US leaders, if and when our American colleagues update their proposals and are ready to begin preparations for the summit to ensure its success,” Lavrov said.
The minister also emphasized that Budapest is Russia’s preferred location for the summit. He recalled that Trump himself had previously expressed this opinion.
