Russia will continue to closely cooperate with its allies on all issues related to strengthening the CSTO’s military potential.

Russian weapons have proven their effectiveness in real combat, and Moscow is proposing a large-scale program to equip CSTO allies with such equipment, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at the CSTO summit.

He noted that the next CSTO summit will be held in Moscow on November 11, 2026.

“Russia will continue to closely cooperate with its allies on all issues related to strengthening the CSTO’s military potential. We will focus our efforts on increasing the combat readiness of national troops and improving the command and control of collective forces,” Putin noted.

He proposed a large-scale program to equip the CSTO with the most effective Russian weapons and equipment that have proven their effectiveness in real combat.

He emphasized that during its chairmanship, Russia will do everything possible to maintain continuity in the key areas of cooperation within the CSTO. “Moscow intends to develop cooperation between the CSTO countries based on the principles of genuine alliance, friendship, and good-neighborliness, respect and consideration of each other’s interests, and mutual assistance and support,” the Russian president stated.

As a reminder, a CSTO leaders’ summit is taking place in Bishkek today, attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, and CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
