Azerbaijani MP from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Tagizade Khalid Boyukaga oglu was deprived of the position of deputy chairman of the committee on social development of the Duma of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra. This was reported in the official press release of the parliament.
The Chairman of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Parliament Boris Khokhryakov recalled the reasons for the meeting – the statements of the MP. Earlier, he said that migrants (in particular, Uzbeks) are going to the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug “to their historical homeland.” The MP “justified” his conclusions by the fact that the ruler of the Siberian Khanate Kuchum, who was defeated by the Russian army, was an Uzbek.
“I believe that Deputy Tagizade not only compromised himself with his remark, but also caused a storm of public criticism, including against the Duma of the autonomous okrug,” the speaker noted.
According to him, the parliamentarian thereby violated the rules of parliamentary ethics and caused reputational damage to the state authority.
As a result, the committee on social development decided to terminate the powers of Deputy Tagizade as deputy chairman of the committee.
The parliamentarians also decided to demand a public apology from their ally, to publicly reprimand him and inform voters about this through the media.
It is noted that Leonid Mikhalko, chairman of the commission on regulations and ethics of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Duma, also asked the district prosecutor’s office to assess Tagizade’s actions for compliance with federal legislation.
At the same time, Boris Khokhryakov noted that at the moment, deputies do not have the right to prematurely deprive Tagizade of his parliamentary powers, since a violation of ethics is not a basis for such a decision according to the law.
Recall that a few days after his speech in the regional parliament, the politician posted an apology on social networks. According to him, he did not intend to distort historical facts.
