Samsung presented another version of the Galaxy A16 smartphone. Ten days ago, the manufacturer announced the Galaxy A16 5G model. Now the French office of Samsung has presented the 4G version of the device. As with the 5G version, the company will release software updates (new OS versions and security fixes) for the 4G version until 2030.
The Galaxy A16 (4G) model almost completely duplicates the specifications of the 5G version. The device has a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The smartphone has a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging support.
The Galaxy A16 (4G) main camera setup consists of 50MP, 5MP and 2MP sensors. There is a 13MP camera on the front. The thickness of the smartphone is 7.9 mm. It has water and dust resistance according to IP54 standard.
The main difference in the Galaxy A16 (4G) is the processor. This version of the smartphone uses a MediaTek Helio G99 processor (two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU). The Galaxy A16 (5G) model is offered in the European market with a Samsung Exynos 1330 chip, and in India and Thailand with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor.
The basic configuration of the device is offered with the same 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. The latter can be increased up to 1 TB thanks to the support of microSD memory cards. There will also be a variant with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. There is no information about the presence of a 3.5 mm audio jack on the Galaxy A16 (4G). However, neither does the 5G version.
The company’s press release does not say anything about the price of the device. Galaxy A16 4G will go on sale in November. The smartphone will be available in gray, green and blue variants.
